The Natural Resources Grants and Loans Webinar will feature more than 45 funding programs ranging from grants to build boat launches, to loans for road projects, to grants to improve water quality.
“This is the first time that these state agencies have come together to provide this kind of workshop,” said Kaleen Cottingham, director of the Recreation and Conservation Office, which is coordinating the Webinar. “Having it online means that people from around the state can get the information without having to make expensive travel arrangements.”
The Webinar is one result of Governor Chris Gregoire’s initiative to reduce duplication in natural resource agencies.
“Times are very difficult and many cities, counties, businesses and non-profit organizations are finding it tougher to find money for projects,” Cottingham said. “Hopefully, by attending the Webinar, they will discover a grant program they didn’t know about.”
Register at www1.gotomeeting.com/register/435631369. Grants will be featured in the following nine categories:
- Conservation and Restoration
- Farmland Preservation.
- Invasive Species.
- Environmental Awareness, Outreach and Stewardship
- Clean Air
