The City of Bremerton used two grants to renovate Kitsap Lake Park. The City replaced the thirty-year-old fishing dock with a fish-friendly overwater structure, enhanced the seating area along the lake’s edge, and repaved the parking lot. The City also made improvements to accommodate people with disabilities including upgrading the restroom and adding pathways to connect park amenities including a new picnic shelter overlooking the water, lake and wetland viewpoints, and educational signs encouraging stewardship of the lake.
In addition to the boating grant, Bremerton used a $438,200 grant from the Aquatic Lands Enhancement Account.
