The Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department used a grant to replace the lighting on three fields in the Larson Playfield Complex.
The previous lighting systems were installed in the late 70s and 80s. They were were inefficient and failed often. That meant that the field couldn’t be used as much and several tournaments had to go to other areas.
New lighting has allowed the City to increase field use, add soccer, improve player safety, and reduce maintenance and operating costs.
The fields are used for youth baseball, softball, and soccer.
