In 2018, the Washington State Legislature directed the Salmon Recovery Funding Board to conduct a Lean study to improve the project development and prioritization process used by the Salmon Recovery Funding Board. Below are the documents developed during that process.

What is Lean?
Lean is an approach that analyzes the flow of products and services across organizations to identify improvements that will deliver better results to customers, with existing or fewer resources. In the Lean philosophy, the agency focuses on providing greater customer satisfaction while eliminating waste.
