- Need a firm, stable outdoor route of travel, at least forty-four inches wide, to the court surface and associated elements including viewing, playing, and teaching or coaching areas; locker rooms; and trophy presentation areas; but not to some raised judging or press box areas.
- It is preferred to have a sixty-inch-wide route of travel because less than that requires passing spaces, turnouts, or “T” intersections.
