Congratulations on winning a grant! We are looking forward to working with you to complete your project.

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to read the manual for the grant program you received. It will provide good information about requirements, what you can and can’t do, and billing, as well as your long-term obligations.

Grant Agreement

Soon, your outdoors grant manager will be sending you a project agreement, which serves as your contract with RCO for the grant funding.

Remember, don’t start work until you have a signed grant agreement, otherwise your costs may not be reimbursed

Carbon Credit and Payment for Ecosystem Services

Some RCO projects may enroll in carbon credit or payment for ecosystems services programs. These programs issue credits or payments to landowners for activities, such as land protection and tree planting, that reduce or prevent future carbon emissions. Income generated from the sale of credits may be used for stewarding and maintaining the property or to buy additional conservation and recreation land.

Milestone Worksheets

Successful Applicant Workshops

RCO offers workshops for grant recipients that go into detail about the grant agreement, billings, changes to your contract, technical assistance, and more. Be sure to watch your email for the invitation or check the grant schedule.
